MICHAEL  DILLHYON

Michael Dillhyon is a co-founder and General Partner of RollSpeed. His passion is building world class entrepreneurs, and shepherding emerging technology firms from startup to global. 

Michael also is CEO of Healthbank, which is launching a Citizen-owned, open standard global health data platform based in Switzerland. In addition, earlier this year he initiated the role of Entrepreneur-in-Residence at ETH Zurich, one of Europe’s leading universities, where he is curating the technology developed in the SystemsX systems biology initiative, Switzerland’s largest public research program.

Previously, Michael co-founded two US-based firms: Netelligent Corporationand ActiveObjects, where he held the roles of President, Chairman and CEO respectively. He exited Netelligent in 2008 as a result of a management buyout, and ActiveObjects was acquired by VSR in 2010. 

In addition to his Chairman role at Geneva Bioinformatics (Genebio) and involvement on other Boards, Michael is on the Strategic Advisory Committee for HealthTIES, an EU-backed consortium of four of Europe’s top regions in biosciences, medical technology and health entrepreneurship. Michael also invests in early stage companies through the Swiss-based firm Avadilon Ventures. 

Michael presents regularly on the business of entrepreneurship, venture capital and the growing relevance of personalized healthcare technology at events in both the US and Europe. He also mentors entrepreneurs through renowned initiatives such as the Pipeline Fellowship and the Kaufmann Foundation. 

Michael holds degrees in Biochemistry and Anthropology from Florida State University, as well as an MBA from Washington University. He completed residencies at Harvard Business School (OPM), the London School of Business, UC-Berkeley (Venture Capital Executive) and Fudan University in China. 

Born in the US (Miami), Michael has lived in Switzerland for eight years and now resides with his family in the Canton of Zug.
